Bentonville, Arkansas

The Cycling Capital of the South

About This Region

Bentonville, Arkansas has transformed into one of the most exciting cycling destinations in America, powered in large part by investment from the Walton Family Foundation. The Oz Trails network spans hundreds of miles of purpose-built singletrack and gravel connectors through the Ozark highlands. The surrounding region offers stunning mixed-surface riding through cedar glades, crystal-clear streams, and rolling Ozark backroads — all with a booming food, coffee, and arts scene back in town.

Best Time to Ride

March through May and September through November are ideal. Spring brings wildflowers and moderate temps (60–75°F). Fall foliage in October rivals New England for beauty. Summers are hot and humid (90°F+) but manageable with early morning starts. The area rarely sees snow, making it a year-round destination for warm-weather escape riding.
